Roman Polanski Directed Movies p> The films of Roman Polanski have often been compared to those of Alfred Hitchcock for their dark twist and odd humor. Polanski’s childhood was marred by his parents being taken to concentration camps where his mother later died. Polanski’s father helped young Roman to escape and Roman relied on the kindness of many families. As for his film directing career, 1974’s Chinatown is one of his best “classic” movies. A young Jack Nicholson stars. Other notable Roman Polanski movies include Frantic (Harrison Ford) and The Pianist (Adrian Brody).
