| Pierce Brosnan first became known as a TV actor on the successful series Remington Steele. Brosnan then took some interesting movie roles ranging from Mrs. Doubtfire (Robin Williams, Sally Field) to The Lawnmower Man. But Brosnan really made his name as James Bond Agent 007. Pierce had coveted secret agent role for years and was finally rewarded with the role in Goldeneye. Brosnan seemed to be made for the role of the suave agent and has done an excellent job. Pierce starred as Bond 4 times over the years and has said he is now done with the role. Pierce Brosnan has been in 39 movies. Other notable Pierce Brosnan movies include The Taylor of Panama (Geoffrey Rush), The Heist (Salma Hayek), and Mars Attacks (Jack Nicholson). Pierce was born in Ireland, but grew up in London.
