Sarah Jessica Parker is the youngest of four children born to her mother Barbara, a teacher and former actress, and father Stephen, an aspiring author. Sarah Jessica Parker parents divorced and after Sarah Jessica Parkers mother remarried Sarah Jessica Parker gained four more step siblings. Sarah Jessica parker then moved to Cincinnati. Sara Jessica Parker took ballet and singing lessons. By the age of eight, Sarah Jessica Parker earned her first paycheck for the TV film "The Little Match Girl" (NBC, 1974). Sarah Jessica Parker then got roles in New York and London on stage shows. By the time Sarah Jessica Parker was 11, Parker and a number of her siblings were cast in the touring company of "The Sound of Music". Then Sarah Jessica Parker was cast in the hit Broadway musical "Annie." Sarah Jessica Parker got the lead role in Annie in January of 1979. During her time performing on Annie, Sara Jessica Parker's family relocated to New York City to accommodate all of the sibling's show business careers. Sarah Jessica Parker has been a professional actress since the age of 10. Many fans first remember Sarah Jessica Parker for her role in the TV series Square Pegs.
